Yes, we need to wait some time for the cherry blossoms but we’ll have the first spring flowers blossoms( apricot tree blossoms)in action to make the world brighter and more beautiful.
To hail the coming of spring, the apricot tree blossoms( Maehwa in Korean) festival take places in Seomjin Village – home of the largest number of apricot tree blossoms in Korea.
During the festival period, you can enjoy a walk beneath the apricot blossoms, and also sample and purchase local organic plum products.
The Gwangyang Apricot Festival is regarded as one of the most popular flower festivals such as Cherry Blossom festivals in Korea and this flower attracts tourists around the country by creating a spectacular scene around the area in harmony with the picturesque landscape of the Seomjingang.
With Gwangyang designated “Maehwa Maeul” or plum flower village, the city has become a focal point of flowers blooms in the middle of March. Its green fruit, called Maesil in Korean, which is harvested in June, has also won its fame as a popular health food.
The Gwangyang Maehwa Festival is listed as one of the top 10 regional festivals in South Jeolla Province and many films and TV dramas are have been shot.
Green tea is good for you for lots of health benefits. We are going to visit the spectacular green tea plantation and participate Green Tea Drinking process. You can even enjoy green ice cream as well as food made from green tea!
Boseong Green Tea is a special product produced in Boseong County and well known for great quality. Boseong is known as the green tea capital of Korea. The surrounding climate and soil provide good conditions for growing a unique green tea that has a distinct taste and aroma.
You will be amazed how beautiful the green tea plantation is with lots of green tea stairs and it feels like you are walking into green tea forest.
Walking up to the top of the green tea plantation gives not only the picturesque view of the whole green tea plantation but the beautiful ocean view being fully unfold in front of you. You will like breeze of green tea plantation by standing on top of the green tea plantation. Or You can walk around the picturesque green tea plantation and take some pictures. Stress and worries will disappear.
We’ll have some wonderful time with tea drinking session in the traditional way with the tea master, who’ll show us how to drink green tea and also tell us about the great benefits of green tea from his rich hands-on experience for our health. This is going to be a green green tea education too.

The green Tea Farm has got long and rich history of having run the green tea business and produced excellent quality of green tea products and has won several awards.
After the excellent green tea education and drinking session, we’ll be heading to another building for the Green Tea Chocolate making and Traditional Korean Tea Making Experience. The green tea chocolate making session will be led by a chocolatier who has a chocolate making certification as well as rich hands-on experience. The tea master will show how to make a traditional Korean tea and drink.
