It is interesting to know that Jeju has 4 different seasons in one day and it feels like springtime during daytime in most part of Jeju Island in winter. Jeju Island – Korea’s Only UNESCO World Natural Heritage
Summary of places to visit and things to do in Jeju. We have selected best parts and things of Jeju!~
► Amazing time in Jeju on 4 day special holiday and exploring all parts of fantastic Jeju!
► Unique things to do in Jeju such as submarine ride, Jeju orange picking experience, horse riding, love land, waterfalls and exploring must see tourist attractions in Jeju.
► Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise peak): Unique crater mountain ( about 20min hike to top with breathtaking panoramic views) – Korea’s UNESCO Natural Heritage Site
► Hallasan hiking
Hallasan is the highest mountain in South Korea with 1,950m and home to the magnificent Baekrokdam (lake-filled crater), which is covered with snow, alpine flora and lush trees.
The hiking to the snowy Hallasan is fantastic way of enjoying awesome nature and best of all you don’t have to be an expert hiker. It will be your best snowing hiking experience in Korea.
You will love your snowy hiking very much, as we have always gone to this gorgeous mountain when we come to Jeju.
Our tour guide will lead this hiking and we will provide crampons (a metal plate with spikes fixed to a boot for walking on snow or ice) and some snacks for hiking. It shall talk about 7-8 hours to the peak.
► Udo Island ( Cow Shape Island): Lots of beautiful shorelines and lovely scenery.
Udo Island is an interesting place off the coast of Jeju. It is very unique and there is no place like it anywhere else. The coastal road circles virtually the entire area of Udo island.
The scenery is spectacular and also there are numerous points of interest while you are going around the Island. You can choose walking, cycling ,or riding a scooter along the beautiful beach roads. The speed boat cliff tour is quite popular. Udo’s food specialty is peanut ice cream. The peak climbing in Udo is enjoyed by adventurous people. The hop on – hop off Udo tour bus allows you to see many different interesting things the island has to offer.
► Manjanggul Lava Cave
Manjanggul Lava Cave is one of the finest lava tunnels in the world. It is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and it is a designated natural monument. Lava tunnels are formed when the lava that was deep in the ground spouts from the peak and flows to the surface. Manjanggul Cave has a variety of interesting structures inside including 70cm lava stalagmites and the lava tube tunnels. The stone pillars and stalactites are widely spread and the tunnels shows off the cave’s topographical features. The Stone Turtle is especially eye-catching because it is shaped like Jeju-do Island.
► Jeju Olle Trails with Oedolgae (Lonely) Rock
The Oedolgae trail with ocean view is said to be the most beautiful trails among 22 Olle trails. It is an amazing rock 10 meters in circumference and 20 meters in height. It is surrounded by beautiful islands such as Bum Island, Sae Island and Seonnyu (fairy) Rock. The fantastic rocks of Oedolgae and fields of reeds in the extensive ranch provide the perfect background for trekking.
► Jusangjeolli Lava Cliffs
This is an impressive rock pillar formed by basaltic lava. The hexagonal rock formation stacks up like giant stairs, so geometrically carved that they look hand-made.
The waves of the high tide crashing into the side of the cliff provide a breathtaking view of the ocean surrounding the pillars. Many have compared Jusangjeolli Lava cliff to the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland.
► Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls
Of all the waterfalls on Jeju island, the Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls are the most famous. This is a popular place to take pictures with friends. If you take a walk along the subtropical path towards the Cheonjiyeon waterfalls for a about one kilometer, you will be able to hear the magnificent sound of the water falling.
Seopjikoji is famous for its scenic view with a lighthouse by the cliff. It is also a popular filming site with Seongsan Ilchulbong as the backdrop. “Seopji” is the old name for the area, and “Koji” is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land.
► Love land ( Optional)
Jeju Love Land is an outdoor theme sculpture park based on sensuality and eroticism.
The spacious park is home to over 140 sculptures (40 within the gallery and 100 outside). The whole park looks like a park full of erotic art. It is an attractive place where art and eroticism meet in cool, fun and humorous styles.
► Mysterious Road – Defying Laws of Gravity
The Jeju Mysterious Road lies on a hill at the foot of a mountain which connects two major roads. It has earned its name, as objects and liquid appear to roll and flow up the hill instead of down, when, in fact, such image of gravity defiance is an optical illusion rendered by the seemingly high surroundings.
► Jeongbang waterfall
It is an unique waterfall as it falls directly into the ocean. This is the only waterfall of its kind in Asia!!
► O’Seollok Green tea fields ( One of popular tea fields and if you are a tea lover, you will love this place)
